Purpose of the website
At Play123, we strive to provide users with the best selection of free online games. There are over 10,000 games available in various categories, designed for entertainment. We want people of all ages to enjoy the best games that the internet has to offer.
History
The website was launched in 2006 in Slovenia under the name Igre123 and with a single domain, namely igre123.com. The author of the website is Tine Koloini, who also programmed the very first version. Today the network operates under the common name Playground123, which unites 10 domains in as many languages.
Operation Method
The website sells advertising space through the specialized partners. We have no control over the content displayed in the ads. We use this advertising to pay our staff, cover the costs of hosting the website and provide technical maintenance. This allows us to continue offering new games for free.

FAQs about Play123
Why "123" in the name?
We got the idea for the name from a Slovenian children's hide-and-seek game called Pofočkanje. In this game, the winner at the end says: "En, dva, tri zame" (One, two, three for me)! Today, the number combination "123" is already well-known and is often associated with the Playground123 network.
Do you also develop games?
For fun, we have developed or modified some games ourselves based on open source libraries, such as Tetris or Snake 42 (see Wikipedia). However, most of the games are provided to us by game development studios that offer the freshest and newest games. Most of the published games have been provided by Famobi, GameDistribution and GamePix.
