Casual Yet Ruthlessly Challenging!
Well, I just did the Point Adventure challenge, and wow it’s a wild ride. The idea is pretty straightforward — fly two orbs in a circle, through endless obstacles, as it scrolls up. Simple to understand, but, boy, difficult to master. There’s this deceptively elegant simplicity that ensnares you, then coldcocks you with a difficulty that could make a grown gamer cry.
And though its maddeningly difficult,

But the sense of triumph you get when you don’t get trapped by another pesky barrier is second to none. The controls are responsive, the gameplay is fluid and it’s been a lovely source of both frustration and accomplishment in a compact gaming package. You definitely get better with practise; although, I’ve seen a few people claim they’re done for good (only to return the next night for ‘another shot’). This is casual gaming with a heart of nitroglycerin you’re not going to want to put down lightly. The last question, then: Are you game for a gauntlet of hurdle hopping, and go play Point Adventure yet?
