Playing Fireboy & Watergirl in The Forest Temple on Play123 is like going treasure hunting with your mum—it’s fun but hard! A nice layer of challenge was added by controlling both characters, one fiery and the other watery. Had to think seriously between forged palatals to slide those shiny diamonds.

My favorite parts were the collaborative puzzles. Finding a way to collaborate between Fireboy and Watergirl was like working out a dynamic dance routine. Best of all, you can save your scores and brag to friends on Play123 about your accomplishments, which is a nice bonus.

On the other hand, changing between two characters while they’re both in action can be a little like rubbing your belly and patting your head. It’s a bit awkward at first! And while some levels are really engaging, others got a bit repetitive after a while.

All in all, if you’re in the mood for a rhythmically engaging puzzle platformer, this game is a worthy option. And who doesn’t love a bit of elemental teamwork? Speaking of elements, why did Fireboy and Watergirl split up? Because she kept putting him out!
