Sean needs your help

Use your sled to grab at least three same color stones from the sky. After collecting them, toss them up to break them apart. Breaking these stones bit by bit will let you clear the sky. For example, if you spot a bunch of yellow stones on the bottom row, click a row where a yellow stone touches the sled rail at the bottom. When you have enough stones, click a top row to launch them upward.

Click on submit score to add your score to the leaderboard.

A Mediocre Mining Endeavor: Sean the Miner

But after some time spent with Sean the Miner, it's obvious that the game is trying to put its own spin on the classic match-3 genre. Instead, using your sled to collect stones of the same color adds a new element of challenge gameplays. Like some other players, I was absolutely scratching my head trying to shatter the stones in the sky. Instructions were not intuitive, which partially spoiled the game experience.

Meanwhile, the ‘submit score’ function injects competition, drawing you upwards through the leaderboard. But though the basic mechanics are simple — collect and throw stones — the game, at times, seemed more frustrating than fun. The graphics and controls are functional if unremarkable, which led to a general sense of lukewarmness. Overall, Sean the Miner misses the mark and fails to mine its full potential. Its new ideas can amuse but more often than not the product leaves players craving more direction and a smoother experience.
