Cue Up Some Classic Fun with 8 Ball Billiards Classic
If you’re eager for a bit of pool-hall action from the comfort of your couch, 8 Ball Billiards Classic should more than fill the bill. Chalk up and take on either the wily computer or a mate in a digital showdown over the baize. You can definitely feel the work, though, put into getting the physics right, even if the computer can still throw out some show-stopping shots that'll have you raising your eyebrows. The zoom is a nice touch, providing a bit more skill and strategy on your shots. In the single-player mode, the computer can dominate pretty heavily, but in the multiplayer, playing against a friend, it was much more evenly matched providing a good laugh. Well, maybe not so much the English shots cause they're not really doing much to make the earth move, but there's definitely a grasp to the gameplay that the bankshots can take pride in. Rack 'em and roll for a friendly bump of the cue and the smart mule from AI will hustle up on you.

I just played the perfect game against the computer. I broke the balls, made a ball on the break, proceeded to make all the other balls including the 8ball without ever letting the computer play! While its my best game, its not my best score, I wonder why? The numbers on the bottom read: x11 550 1:16 . While I think the x11 is the multiplier & 1:16 must have been the time it took, I'm not sure what the 550 represents.
The chat box cannot be lowered, minimized or closed and is disrupting the game!
Computer is programmed to win more often than should. Almost always choses solids/small balls after break. Runs table often, and is able to make balls in pocket with unbelievable moves. Noticed my ball aim to pockets is FAR less successful when playing computer vs another player (myself). Computer RARELY ever scratches! Ball in hand for computer if I hit my ball in off another one of my balls however, same does NOT apply for me if computer hits ball into pocket off another computer ball.
Always the same bad non-inventive advertisement blares after every game!

In order to get a score you must play the computer. Using english on this game is useless as it makes no difference. Also its very easy to scratch.
