Jumping into Grindcraft Remastered is like diving headfirst into a pixelated crafting bonanza that’s oddly mesmerizing. As a casual gaming aficionado, I’ve gone on clicking rampages in games modeled after the iconic Minecraft, foraging for everything from huge logs to golden tributes. It’s a click-fest, a patience is a virtue click is mightiest click game.

The premise is deliciously simple – harvest resources, fight monsters lurking in the dark, and squirrel away loot like a dragon in its lair. After a while, however — as I sat there in awe, watching my inventory fill up, with those fruits accumulated from chains of mindless left-clicking — I started to feel like the game straddles a line somewhere between mesmerizing and samey. It is a paradise for those in pursuit of the click, however the thrill of the grind may pale in comparison to the final blow of a pickaxe on its last swing.

Among the digital grapevine, I’ve detected mixed feelings. Some fellowsters are praising the game's simplicity, and others are, like, looking for an achievement that made have retextured the face of a creeper to burn in the morning. But really, jokes aside, simple is still a charm and Grindcraft Remastered provides oodles of such — as long as you have a few spare hours and the grind to grind away at it.
