Rather than taking away backgrounds, you add them. On some levels there's locks so you can only move in a specific direction, you can create specials with matching 4 or more elements that will help you move to the next level. There's no separate music & special effects buttons, so if you want to avoid the music, its best to turn off the sound of your computer as the many ads are LOUD comparatively & then you don't have to hear them either.
