Scopa: Italy's Card Game Craze
Scopa feels like a dive headfirst into a real Italian family gathering, all card slinging and shouty excitement you could want.
The goal is as straightforward as a newly washed window — score a certain number of points, and you’re singing, ‘Viva Italia!’ quicker than you can shuffle the deck. This game has heaps of charm (pun fully intended). It’s simple enough for a novice but still sends a tingle down the spine of more seasoned card sharks. I was hooked faster than you can say, ‘capisce’. The hands fly by like espresso shots, leaving you jangly for more. Additionally, you can score, and your scores are retained on Play123, it is like you participate in an international championship.
But every game has its quirks. It could use a touch more polish on the interface. It’s like having a great pasta dish served lukewarm. You sort of wish it had a little more spice to keep you on your toes.
In short, if you like card games and have a soft spot for Italy, Scopa just may be the best game on a browser to get tangled up with. But fair warning, the game can become more addictive than your grandmother's lasagna!
