Opening Golf Solitaire Pro, I became engrossed in clearing the golf card board by playing cards one higher or lower than the face-up card. The charm of this game is that the mechanics are simple and yet while playing you have to use a tactical mind to achieve as many rounds as possible. It’s one of those games you assume you’ll play for a couple of minutes, only to find an hour has passed in the blink of an eye.

The strategic element of when to draw from the closed deck, derived from both others’ experiences and mine, adds a satisfying challenge. There's a certain satisfaction to lining up a good combo and clearing the board with efficiency. Though it can be frustrating at times being left with no moves, pressing 'end game/submit score' to submit your score to the leaderboard develops a competitive edge that makes you keep returning to the game.

If you’re a fan of solitaire or puzzles, Golf Solitaire adds a twist on traditional card gaming that’s fresh but familiar. It’s rewarding, accessible, and pitched just right in terms of casual vs. compelling that I can recommend it without reservation.
