Match-3 games may be worn out, but Jewel Rush just might appeal to you. You swap jewels to make three or more orbs line up, winning you flashy cascading combos and special bonus jewels. It’s a simple thrill that tantalizes the strategist within, asking each of us to consider carefully how we can reach the goals that loom with each layer above the grid.

The game’s engaging mechanics definitely shine, but it does seem to lag a bit with load times according to some players. But if you can get past that hurdle, it's a solid bite of entertainment. Bumping him/her and climbing the leaderboards means a competitive twist to keep the things interesting. All in all, Jewel Rush is a grab bag of glitzy gems and some rough edges, ideal for filling in time with a casual commitment...
