Atari Centipede is a fixed shooter arcade game
You take on centipedes, spiders, scorpions, and fleas with your bugblaster. Survive as long as you can in this fast-paced arcade challenge. Your bugblaster fires small shots at a centipede made of 10 to 12 connected segments, including the head. Hit a segment and it turns into a mushroom. As the centipede moves downward, each segment can break off and move on its own. Aim for the head to wipe it out completely.
